What’s even worse is that people don’t realize when they are stressed or how stressed they actually are.
NEWSFLASH - if you are always busy and don’t make time for yourself or you feel like you can’t relax or sit still, YOU ARE STRESSED. The good news is if you realize that now, you give yourself a chance to address it before it MAKES YOU address it.

Being intentional is about evaluating your life, your habits, your friends, your hobbies, and your living space and honestly asking yourself if they add value to your life and if they contribute to you being your BEST SELF. Ok, so what does this have to do with candles?
People cringe at the word “self-care.” People shy away from this word because they feel it is selfish or a hassle. If that is how you feel, you have the wrong idea. Sure, self-care is engaging in relaxing activities that bring you joy, like bubble baths or exercising or crafting, but it is way more than that. Self-care is about living a life that you do not need an escape from, and you can accomplish that by being intentional in every aspect of your life, including your décor. What makes this NOT selfish is that it allows you to be the best version of yourself for the important people and things in your life.
Candles are one of my favorite ways to relax and create an atmosphere that brings me joy. I love lighting certain candles based on what mood I am in or what type of mood I want to be in. I also like to use candles as decorative accents throughout my home. It is such a simple thing, but makes such a big impact.
Candles serve so many purposes. They elicit certain feelings that are triggered from specific scents. They bring back memories. They add an ambiance to the space that increases relaxation. They might even be decorative enough to be a feature of your décor.
